VCON Civil and Building Projects started trading as a small close corporation in 2007. The company was founded by Markus Venter with the objective to enter the construction environment as a young, dynamic civil and building company. VCON started focusing on earth works, civil and building projects, at first, in the middle and later the higher market of the industry.

With more than 21 years’ experience as a civil engineer technician, Markus has been involved in major bulk earth works, railway construction, civil concrete structures and building development projects, within the commercial and mining environment. Being proud and dynamic in all aspects of a project, laid a sound foundation for the principals by which VCON trades and executes each project. VCON Civil and Building Projects Company structure is based on the following trades:

BUILDING:

• VCON Building division focuses on the Commercial and housing markets. A Leading Brand (KFC) is one of our clients, and we offer them a Turnkey project from site clearing up to final handover of the Shop.
• VCON constructed several industrial buildings as listed in our attached "COMPLETED PROJECTS HISTORY" schedule, for Companies like ; SCAW METALS, ARCELOR MITTAL, STEIN MULLER AFRICA, ANGLO PLATINUM, SOUTH AFRICAN MINT ETC.
• The construction of residential properties also form part of our building division. VCON is setting a benchmark in the housing market as a reputable company, with very high levels of accuracy and quality, and ensuring our clients are satisfied with our performance and capabilities.

Company Structure

CIVILS:

• VCON CIVIL AND EARTHWORKS division operates in the commercial, residential and industrial markets.
• Bulk earthworks, Storm water and other services, raft foundations, re-inforced concrete structures, etc. are only a few of the services we offer.
• This division, together with our Building department, has successfully completed five major projects for Stein Muller Africa at their Plant in Pretoria West. This stand out project entailed: The upgrading of existing, and construction of new concrete surface beds, roads and storm water surfaces. The VCON civil team also specializes in the construction of machine bases with accurate placing of holding down items at the specified tolerances. We completed the new Stein Muller BHR plant as the main contractors in 8 months, with a civil and building turnover in excess of 40 million rand. The scope consisted of 20 000m2 new concrete flooring, 15 000 m2 paving, 5000 m2 Gunniting and Gabions and several major RC Bases and Foundations.
